With the development of wireless communication technologies, micro-small antennas have a wide range of applications in mobile communications, radio frequency identification chips, satellite navigation, wireless local area networks, and Internet of Things. Because of the technical characteristics of the miniature antenna itself, its performance is difficult to simulate accurately with simulation software, and the demand for actual measurement is more urgent. In addition, some micro-mini antennas need to work in multi-channel and multi-frequency bands. In the product design and R&D phase, a large amount of actual measurement work is required. The micro-small antenna measurement system built by China Electronics Standardization Institute can meet the measurement requirements.

The frequency coverage of the micro antenna measurement system built this time is from 0.75 to 40 GHz, and the diameter of the antenna to be measured can reach 0.5 meters at the maximum. The near-field test technology is used, and the automatic conversion between near and far fields can be realized. Compared with far-field measurements, near-field measurements can be performed in microwave darkrooms, with minimal environmental impact and high measurement accuracy. The completion of the system not only matches the testing and certification work of the China Electronics Technology and Standardization Institute Internet of Things Research Center, but also expands the antenna measurement and metrology calibration capabilities of the China Electronics Standardization Institute for antenna measurement and test research and service work for the next step.
